The Affordable Care Act Helped Us

I am an experienced Blogger and healthcare advocate who will convey your story with the utmost respect and dignity. Please send your story to me at: hashitoutwithjane@gmail.com

Please indicate if you would like me to mail you a release form, for permission to use your story, or email you the form in digital format. I can only use your story if I have a signed 'permission slip' from you.

Thank you for your advocacy!

  1. My husband had a brain aneurysm in April of 2014. He had insurance through the ACA, thankfully.
After over 6 months in 4 different hospitals and rehabilitation facilities he finally came home.
Now, 2 and a half years later we are still working on his recovery, which I am sure we will be doing for years to come.
He is now covered by both Medicare and Medicaid.
I left my career to become his fulltime caregiver and now Medicaid covers myself and my children.
I am so fearful that we could lose coverage. That my husband would not insurable if I returned to work and we no longer qualified for medicaid and that the resources that we have been able to obtain for in home care will be cut.
ACA has literally help save my family and has kept my husband alive.
